As the Technical Training Manager in Pictometry’s Government Solutions (PGS) division, Mr. Wixom is responsible for the management, mentoring and continuing education of a staff of nine Technical Trainers who travel to Pictometry’s customers’ sites for hands-on or lecture-style training. He oversees the on-line web-based training provided by the company, and is responsible for the development and updating of all training materials. His years of corporate and municipal experience and extensive technical background give him the bandwidth to work closely with our customers to ensure they receive the top level training and support they need.
Mr. Wixom’s team of Trainers is responsible for the training of Pictometry’s users. The responsibilities include creating schedules for onsite and online training of customers’ staff.
Under Mr. Wixom’s direction, the Pictometry Technical Training Team has successfully completed approximately hundreds of Training projects across the United States and Canada for all county and federal government customers, each year for the past 4 years. A few of the larger training projects to note include that of the State of Massachusetts, the State of West Virginia and Los Angeles County. The Technical Training Team designates the appropriate number of trainers to complete the training on time according to each customer’s specified time line. They provide the customer on-line training that can be recorded using the web-service GoToMeeting. The recordings can be used as a reference or can be shown to people that were unable to attend the original session. Onsite training is the preferred method the Technical Training Team employs so that the customers can work with their imagery on a more hands-on basis. If the customer cannot secure laptops for the training, the Technical Training Team can provide up to 24 laptops to be deployed in a conference room. Customer specific videos with localized imagery are often created to assist with training staff members.
